No clue on the brand, but this banjo is built like a tank!
It was refinished black when I got it, poorly I might add.
I stripped the black and then sanded the resonator and neck. I stained the resonator and neck with a dark walnut to try blend with the darker spots left by the black refinish. All of the hardware was then cleaned and polished.
This is one of the best built banjos I have seen.
2002-01-01: Stripped the black paint and refinished back to the stock natural. Disassembled, all hardware cleaned and polished.
