Lab Series amps were manufactured and designed by Moog, which at the time was owned by Norlin, who also owned Gibson. Norlin used Moog's resources to release the Lab Series line and Gibson to handle the distribution of these amplifiers. B.B. King still uses the Lab Series L5 100w 2x12 combo.
