This one is a late 1940's oval hole jumbo archtop guitar. Its branded Galiano Master, but these were built by Kay and branded with a few names. The close back kluson tuners date from 1947-1951, but the oval hole archtop was late 40's - 1950.
It's in need of a neck reset, but the original frets look to be in good shape. The neck was loose enough it was an easy removal.
The guard, tailpiece, tuning machines, and all of the screws are original. The only thing missing was the bridge, which is easy. The all maple construction is sound, no cracks and the binding is in good shape. As for the finish, it shows its age.
2023-07-11: Neck reset, new bridge matched to top, full fret clean and polish. Installed a twin spot K&k pickup and endpin jack.
