1940's Regal Archtop
Year: 1940's
Brand: Regal
Model: Archtop
Class: Guitar
Scale:
Owner: Carman Kubanda

Status: SOLD

Late 1940's to early 50s Regal archtop guitar in beautiful shape. The original pickguard and fret inlays are fantastic. All original other than the tuning machines and the K&K Definity archtop pickup (no extra holes, easily removed). It's a pre-trussrod model so it does have a thick neck, but it's straight and the action is good. Regal didn't use date stamps or serials at this time so dateing is done by the guitar style, logo, and finish. This one has the 1940s-50s Regal logo, It's definitely before Harmony took over the brand in 1953. I can't find any examples of this head stock, but I did find examples of these inlays and pickguard on their guitars dated from 1947-51.

2020-01-30: Preformed neck rest due to action issues and loose neck joint. Frets leveled/dressed and full setup.
