Ryan picked up this old A-4070, they said it was in working condition. When I dove inside the main belt was completely missing, the counter belt was to loose to run, several screw heads were half stripped, and the rear frame top corner was completely broken.
2022-02-16: Installed all new belts, cleaned the entire unit, polished the heads (lots of corrosion), and lubricated all of the lubrication points.
2022-03-06: The unit came back due to the recording left and right being unbalanced, which is my fault. While I had it setup and playing with no issue, I didn't have a blank reel to test recording. Polished the heads again, this time with buffing compound and metal polish as there was still corrosion on a couple. Cleaned all of the relays I could access, calibrated the left and right recording outputs.
