I retrofit these old school styled chrome microphones in a few different ways. I can upgrade the stock element to a Shure 58 Beta or I can leave them with the stock element, which isn't bad at all. I then I redo the stock windscreens with custom colored mic silk and add Led effects. This one retained the stock element but upgraded switch wiring. Then it was fitted with 3 layers of a fine black mesh screen the multiple layers of white silk, this really makes the color changing phantom powered Led effects pop.
