This site primarily consists of one musician's collection of gear. It is not my intent to try and complete with any full production studio. On occasion allow the use, rental, and borrowing my gear, usually to close friends and associates. So, In short this is a studio that my friends and I use to make our music.
Over time I've found the most economical way to purchase gear is in a state of disrepair. The down side to this approach is you have to be able to repair the equipment, or know someone who can. I do repair work for select friends and clients. Since I do these repairs in my spare time on my timeline, I can keep my rate low. I don't work on any instrument I can't afford to replace, and I will not undertake any project I'm not sure I can handle. I'm working to keep vintage gear in use and out of the scrap heap by providing affordable repair and assistance to musicians who other wise wouldn't be able to afford it.
I also build a lot of original equipment (instruments, effects, etc) under the "Hewitt's Garage Studio" name. These are personal works built in my garage for myself, friends, and select clients. Sometimes the sale of a few of these is used to fund projects. I have been known to undertake custom builds and projects as time allows.
Plain and simple this is my hobby and I do this because I enjoy it.
